W. Movie Trailer #2

W. The Story of a President known for his initial

W. His History
There are very few people in america who would be confused in response to the question "Who is W."? The fact that he was given the name of his father, meant that early on W. would become the easy way to distinguish him from his father who only much later took on the nickname H.W.. Although W. attended an Ivy League School and was part of a distinguished secret society, W. never really was about excelling in academics. In fact much to the dismay of his mother, W. was very much into the party life that the sixties offered to all college students. Even after meeting the very studious and dilligent woman who would become his wife, W. still struggled with his demons that he frequently let loose from their bottle. W. eventually overcame the alcohol and managed to succeed in business including or perhaps especially in baseball. W. was from Texas and he tried to make baseball big in Texas although it wasn't until long years after his time that Texas baseball made it to the largest stage the world series.

W. in Politics
W. didn't just inherit the presidential office from his father. Although the family had a long history of political involvement that certainly played a part in W. political career, he had to do a lot of hard work in developing his political career. His years in office as the Texas Governor gave W. a partial national awareness that gave him the basic foundation for launching his national campaign for president of the United States. Still W. was not a popular candidate and only the infighting among the Christian conservatives subgroups gave him the republican nomination. Even more significant was the incredibly confusing and overwhelmingly corrupt Florida popular election that W. won eventually by decree of the Supreme court.

W. in Office as War President
W. started his career as a peace time president with an agenda for taking care of domestic concerns and focussing on the economy at home and letting go of the fascination the republicans had shown for foreign affairs. All of that changed in September of W. first year in office. Within months the country was deep in a war that has lasted a decade and will surely drag on in its intensity for some more years to come. Whether you liked him or not W. was a catalyzing figure in american history and will be dissected by historians for years to come.
